WLG in Brussels is seeking a Production DBA to manage PostgreSQL 12+ and MySQL 8+ in both standalone and clustered configurations across development, test and live environments. This is the unglamorous half of database work, where replication lag, lock contention and poorly planned queries can block the day.

• Solid production experience on both PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Replication, clustering and recovery experience that has been tested.
• Real query optimisation practice on both engines.
• Capacity planning and monitoring instincts.
• Habit of coordinating with application and infrastructure teams.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot production problems: data corruption, replication failures, performance degradation.
• Monitor database health — lock contention, deadlocks, wait events, replication lag, resource use.
• Analyse and optimise query performance, with execution plans and InnoDB tuning as everyday tools.
• Produce root cause analysis for critical incidents and keep environments consistent.
