BARRETT & YOUNG in Kortrijk region seeks a Process Optimization Manager to lead the process engineering team and bridge R&D with production for continuous improvement. You will coach and develop the team, set optimal machine settings, and drive data-driven improvements across the plant.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, collaboration with quality, maintenance and engineering, and a focus on operational excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Fluent French is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field.
• Experience leading engineers, preferably in the food sector.
• Strong people management, motivation, guidance and coaching.
• Process-oriented mindset to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Hands-on, pragmatic, solution-driven approach.
• Fluent in French, both written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Lead the team of process engineers and coach them on technical and operational aspects.
• Guide new product developments from initial testing to commercial production.
• Ensure correct machine settings and provide clear instructions to operators for safe and high-quality production.
• Analyze data and identify root causes of production loss or quality issues.
• Develop and implement improvements in collaboration with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams.
• Report and analyze production performance to identify optimization opportunities and implement solutions.

For a client in the Kortrijk region, we are looking for a Process Optimization Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing and guiding production processes and acting as a key link between R&D and production. You will combine technical expertise with people management skills and actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in implementing process innovations and further developing the process engineering team.
