Vector Synergy is seeking a network specialist based in Mons, Belgium. Responsibilities include directing fault resolution on LAN elements and managing network infrastructure for NATO operations. Eligibility

• University degree in a field related to the function of the post OR exceptionally, the lack of a university/college degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or at least 10 years extensive and progressive expertise in the duties related to the function of the post.
• Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements.
• Knowledge of NATO responsibilities, structure and organization, including Allied Command Operations (ACO) and Allied Command Transformation (ACT).

Certifications (required)

• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation or Higher.
• VMWare certification.
• A+ Certification.
• Any other IT industry network certifications.

Duties / Role

• Directing 3rd level fault resolution on Local Area Network (LAN) Elements to sectors, sites, and the Service Area cells.
• Operating day‑to‑day local and remote network sites routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure including some tasks that require installation and troubleshooting of the physical layer.
• Advising on fault diagnosis throughout North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) sites utilizing a number of management platforms (e.g., HP Network Automation, InterMapper, Splunk).
