The role emphasizes developing and deploying mechanistic or data-driven models, applying them to process design and scale-up, and communicating complex results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• MS/PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field.
• Experience with PAT tools and/or process simulation software.
• Experience with scientific programming or data science (Python, R, Julia).
• Strong focus on technology and process improvement.
• Knowledge of Process Safety Management and cGMP beneficial.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Hands-on process modeling and data analytics deployment.
• Good understanding of data flows and PAT systems.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into practical solutions.

Responsabilités

• Represent pilot plants in NPI projects with cross-functional teams.
• Lead scale-up activities from lab to pilot scale, including process transfer and optimization.
• Drive plant readiness for NPI introductions ensuring safety, quality, and technical requirements.
• Develop, deploy, and scale mechanistic, hybrid, or data-driven models for process design and scale-up.
• Integrate models into plant systems and apply insights to optimize operations.
• Collaborate with R&D, data engineers, automation, and PAT specialists for data flows and model lifecycle management.
• Onboard and train to build understanding of pilot plant environments.
