Optical Metrology / Measurement Engineer – Leuven, Belgium

We’re looking for an experienced Optical Metrology / Measurement Engineer to join our team in Leuven.

What you’ll be doing

• Develop and optimise optical measurement and metrology solutions for complex customer applications.
• Work with customers to understand measurement requirements, challenges and performance targets.

• Support the integration, commissioning and optimisation of measurement systems.

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally already have experience in optical metrology, precision measurement, dimensional measurement, optical systems, industrial inspection or a closely related field.

You’ll bring:

• Strong practical and theoretical understanding of measurement principles.
• Experience with optical measurement or metrology technologies.
• Experience analysing measurement data and assessing measurement performance.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• The ability to understand complex technical requirements and turn them into practical solutions.
• Experience working with precision engineering, manufacturing or industrial customers.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to discuss technical subjects with engineers and senior technical stakeholders.
• A methodical and hands-on approach to solving difficult measurement problems.
• Native with English communication skills.

A degree or equivalent technical qualification in optics, physics, metrology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related discipline would be advantageous.
