J&J Beerse, a world-leading pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing centre, seeks a Microbiology Expert – Small Molecule to lead microbiology projects within the PDMS department. You will influence product quality and safety from development to commercial production in a global setting.

The role requires MSc or PhD in Pharmaceutical Microbiology, strong GxP knowledge, and experience in international, cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• Must hold MSc or PhD in Pharmaceutical Microbiology or related field.
• Strong knowledge of microbiological test methods and GxP principles.
• Experience in an international cross-functional project environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
• Professional and scientific English, spoken and written.

Responsabilités

• Lead R&D and Lifecycle Management projects related to microbiology for Small Molecule products.
• Provide scientific input on the development, qualification, and validation of microbiological test methods.
• Coordinate global method transfers and harmonisation activities across Janssen sites and external partners.
• Review and approve development reports, validation reports, and microbiological test methods (sterility, bioburden, ATP bioluminescence, bacterial endotoxin, PET/AET, and more).
• Manage and follow up on Change Controls within the microbiology domain.
• Ensure full compliance with all GMP, regulatory, and J&J quality requirements.
