Fieldside is op zoek naar een medior functioneel analist voor een klant in het Brusselse. Startdatum ASAP, lange termijn. Kennis van API's is verplicht en je werkt in een gereguleerde omgeving.

Je produceert functionele specificaties, user stories en acceptance criteria, en werkt nauw samen met business stakeholders en technische teams omRequirements in correcte user stories te vertalen.

Qualifications

• Produce clear functionele specificaties, user stories, aanvaardingscriteria en bedrijfsregels.
• Document story maps en user stories, afgestemd op ADRs en architecturale beslissingen.
• Definieer functionele domein contracts: workflows, toestandsmachines, validatieregels.
• Zorg dat specificaties peer-reviewed zijn en goedgekeurd voor overdracht aan ontwikkeling.
• Documenteer datapaden, randgevallen en comply-behoeften (juridische basis, audittrail, data subject rights).
• Beheer informatie en canonieke datastructuren in samenwerking met data-architecten en stewards.
• Definieer OpenAPI en AsyncAPI specificaties (API-first principes).

Key Responsibilities

Specification & Documentation

• Produce clear functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria and business rules.
• Document story maps and user stories and acceptance criteria aligned with ADRs and architectural decisions based on the functional specifications.
• Define functional domain contracts: workflows, state machines, validation rules
• Ensure specifications are peer-reviewed and approved before handoff to development
• Document data flows, edge cases, and compliance-relevant behavior (legal basis, audit trails, data-subject rights).
• Manage information and canonical data models in cooperation with data-architects and stewards.
• Define and manage openapi and asyncapi specifications (API first principles).

Stakeholder Engagement

• Work with business stakeholders, domain experts, architects, and development teams to validate requirements in Dutch/English or French/English
• Communicate complex domain concepts to technical squads in English.
• Resolve functional requirement clarification questions decisively so delivery is not blocked.
• Assist QA teams with designing test plans based on product features.

Backlog & Delivery Support

• Refine and prioritize the backlog together with the Lead Analyst/ product owner and tech leads.
• Support developers and testers during implementation and clarify acceptance criteria.
• Validate delivered functionality against specifications.

Required Skills

These skills are essential for the senior profile. We expect depth and independent, expert-level mastery across all of them.

• Requirements elicitation & functional decomposition — independently break down complex notarial and legal procedures into clear, testable specifications.
• Functional domain modelling — expert modelling of functional domain behavior against the platform’s standard formality contract, shared base types and state machines, treating each formality as a discrete, contract-driven service.
• Specification craft — write unambiguous, directly implementable user stories, acceptance criteria and business rules, and set the quality bar for the squads.
• API-contract fluency — confidently read and reason about REST API contracts (OpenAPI) and the underlying data models.
• Cross-domain dependency analysis — own the mapping of dependencies across the Party and Asset domains, between bounded contexts, and towards the external authentic sources the formalities connect to.
• Facilitation & decision-making — facilitate consensus among architects, product and development, and resolve functional ambiguity decisively so delivery is never blocked.
• Review & mentoring — peer-review and sign off other analysts’ specifications before handoff, and coach medior analysts to the same standard.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years as a functional / business analyst in software delivery, ideally in complex multi-team environments, of which several in a senior or lead analyst capacity.
• Strong experience inrequirements elicitation and documentation; comfort writing clear, testable specifications
• Proven ability to translate regulated or legal/financial business processes into implementable specifications.
• Strong command of user stories, acceptance criteria, business-rule modelling and process mapping.
• Comfortable reading and reasoning about REST API contracts (OpenAPI) and data models.
• Experience inmulti-stakeholder environments: managing conflicting priorities, facilitating consensus
• Languages:Dutch + English or French + English (hard requirement).
• Ability to work autonomously with a delivery focus in a regulated, mission-critical environment.
