Progressive, based in the Brussels area, seeks a Mechanical & Thermal Design Engineer to join its R&D team. You will design, validate, and optimize products for manufacturing, from concept to industrialization, across the full product lifecycle.

You'll use SolidWorks to create 3D models and drawings, perform FEM/FEA and thermal analyses, and collaborate with production, suppliers, and quality teams to bring innovative technologies to market.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Mechanical/ Electromechanical engineering.
• Solid experience in mechanical product development within an industrial environment.
• Proficient with SolidWorks, 3D CAD, FEM/FEA, and thermal analyses.
• Ability to perform tolerance stack-up calculations and design for manufacturing (DFM/DTM).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• English required; additional European languages a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Develop and maintain detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings.
• Perform FEM/FEA analyses for structural validation.
• Conduct thermal simulations and thermal performance assessments.
• Perform tolerance stack-up calculations and design verification.
• Drive DFx with a manufacturing-focused mindset.
• Collaborate with production, suppliers, quality, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support product industrialization and transition to serial production.
• Identify and solve technical challenges related to performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
