Marple, a startup in Antwerp, Belgium, builds cloud-based software to work with time series data. We move fast, ship multiple releases monthly, and value ownership of features from idea to implementation.

We are seeking a Software Engineer to design high-performance solutions, collaborate with a small team, and ship robust code. Experience with Python, React, PostgreSQL, Linux, Docker, AWS or Kubernetes is welcome; 3 days a week onsite in Antwerp.

Also, performance is a continuous challenge in our products. A typical use case has files at 200Hz, 40k channels, for 30 minutes. That means that one such file contains 14 billion data points. Wanted Profile

What we expect from you

• Full-time position
• 3 days / week present at the office in Antwerp
• You have experience in coding solutions to hard problems (the kind where you need to think 4 hours to write 5 lines)
• We are not sponsoring EU/Belgian Visas

Things that we like, but are not required

• Experience with Python, React, PostgreSQL, Linux, Docker, AWS or Kubernetes
• Good development hygiene (small pull requests, unit testing, pure functions, …)
• A degree in science/engineering fields, computer science, or related fields
• You have shipped a product before (can be small)
• You know how to use AI to your advantage for coding
• You speak Dutch
