Position Overview

As Manager Equipment Engineering, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the preparation, technical content, and execution of engineering studies and projects related to terminal equipment. You will play an important role in the continued development and modernization of the terminal infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable, and sustainable engineering solutions while driving operational excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Set priorities and drive technical excellence and collaboration.
• Lead equipment engineering activities across technical projects.
• Review engineering designs and support complex equipment upgrade and automation projects.

Operational Excellence

• Improve the reliability and availability of terminal equipment.
• Drive innovative engineering solutions in close collaboration with Operations and Maintenance.

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external engineering partners.
• Foster collaboration across PSA Antwerp business units.

Strategy & Budget

• Contribute to CAPEX planning and long-term asset management.
• Evaluate technical solutions based on TCO, safety, and sustainability.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.

Experience & Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering (Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline).
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in an engineering and/or project environment.
• Demonstrated experience in people management.
• Experience with industrial lifting equipment, cranes, and/or rolling stock is considered a strong advantage.
• Languages: Dutch and English.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and sustainability.
