Go4Jobs Midden West-Vlaanderen is seeking a maintenance mechanic for trucks to ensure trailers are in top technical condition and ready for inspection.

You will replace brakes, shock absorbers and worn parts, assemble/disassemble components, and perform planned maintenance. Strong independence and hands-on problem solving are valued, with multilingual communication in Dutch, French, English or German when needed.

Description du poste

As a maintenance mechanic for trucks, you are responsible for the technical maintenance of trailers. You make sure that everything is ready for inspection and carry out interventions where needed. You replace brakes, shock absorbers and other worn parts. Welding work on trailers is also part of your job.

On a typical day, you start by checking trailers scheduled for inspection. You perform planned maintenance and repair defective parts. You assemble and disassemble components, work independently on repairs and coordinate with colleagues when necessary. If you have knowledge of hydraulics or electricity, that's a plus, but not a must. Communication with colleagues and, if needed, customers is in Dutch, French, English or German.
