Octave is seeking a seasoned Principal C++ Engineer to lead the Qt-based UI architecture of our BricsCAD products. You will oversee architecture, review code for consistency, and mentor junior developers within a fast-growing international team.

We expect strong C++ skills (Qt/QML a plus), a passion for clean code, and proven experience in agile environments. You will help design high‑quality, scalable UI components and contribute to architectural decisions across product lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with C++ programming (Qt/QML a plus).
• Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and teamwork in Scrum environments.
• Proven ability to transform requirements into functional software and quality code.
• Experience in legacy code bases and mentoring junior developers.

Responsabilités

• Be a pillar in the architecture of the Qt code base and oversee architecture.
• Perform code reviews to ensure consistency and quality across the codebase.
• Promote clean code principles and design patterns.
• Mentor less experienced team members and share expertise while enabling independence.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and planning.
