Forvis Mazars invites recent graduates or students graduating in 2026 to join our IT audit team in Ghent or Brussels. You will support planning and execution of IT audit assignments and collaborate with senior team members on consultancy projects.

You''ll develop hands-on experience in evaluating IT security controls, risk management, and governance processes within a global professional services firm, while learning from a close-knit, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in IT or related fields (IT/CS/InfoSys/Cyber Security).
• Excellent English and Dutch or French proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn independently and adapt to IT developments.
• Able to self-organize and handle planning with guidance.
• Comfortable participating in client meetings.

Responsabilités

• Support the planning and execution of internal and external IT audit assignments and consultancy projects.
• Assess operational processes through discussions and assessments with Operations teams and other client business units.
• Assist in obtaining, reviewing, and interpreting evidence to validate IT security controls.
• Prepare management reports documenting assessment results and improvement recommendations.
• Contribute to value protection through risk-based, objective assurance, advice and insights.

We are currently looking for a recent graduate or a student graduating in 2026 who is passionate about IT and finance and is keen to learn more about it in one of the top global audit firms. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the IT audit team and will collaborate with senior members of this team in one of our offices in Ghent or Brussels.

Your Tasks

• Support the planning and execution of internal and external (IT) audit assignments and consultancy projects.
• Assess operational processes through discussions and assessments with Operations teams and other client business units (Control, Risk, Compliance, Legal, etc.), as well as by reviewing client procedures.
• Assist the team in obtaining, reviewing, and interpreting evidence provided by clients to validate that IT security controls are properly designed, implemented, and operating effectively.
• Contribute to the preparation of management reports documenting assessment results, including process improvement recommendations for system owners and day-to-day operations.
• Help enhance and protect organizational value by providing risk-based, objective assurance, advice, and insights regarding the effectiveness of risk management, internal control, and governance processes.

As Junior, you will also support our clients in working towards:

• Compliance with applicable industry laws and regulations (e.g. DORA, PSD2, NIS2, FSMA, MiFID, NBB, ECB).
• Proper assessment of internal risk controls in terms of completeness and effectiveness (risk management, risk universe, etc.).
• Evaluation and improvement of business processes.
• Elevating organizational maturity through tailored recommendations based on personal expertise and in-house knowledge.
• Collaboration on Forvis Mazars international projects.

Your Profile

• A Master's degree in IT or Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Economics with an interest in IT, or any other related fields.
• You have excellent proficiency in English, as well as Dutch or French.
• You have strong attention to detail, an analytical mindset, and excellent problem-solving skills.
• You possess a self-learning attitude to stay up to date with IT-related developments and can quickly acquire new skills.
• You are able to self-organize and manage your own planning (with our guidance), based on priorities.
• You are comfortable assisting in client-facing meetings.
