ATCON is a Belgium-based IT consulting firm focused on data, analytics, cloud and AI solutions. We are seeking a Junior Data & AI Consultant to join our technology team in Belgium and develop data-driven, AI-powered projects for clients.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders and engineers, work on data pipelines, dashboards and AI use cases, and grow your expertise in Python, SQL, Power BI and cloud platforms in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in Data, BI, Analytics or AI.
• Solid SQL and Python knowledge.
• Experience with at least one BI/visualization tool (Power BI preferred).
• Basic understanding of data engineering, APIs, databases and cloud technologies.
• Exposure to ML/AI or Generative AI is a plus.

• Work with structured and unstructured data and contribute to data preparation and analysis.
• Develop dashboards, reports and data visualizations.

• Work with technologies such as Python, SQL, Power BI and cloud platforms.
• Assist with data quality, data governance and documentation activities.
• Collaborate with clients and technical teams in an Agile environment.
• Stay up to date with emerging Generative AI, Machine Learning and Data technologies.

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Data & AI Consultant to join our growing technology team in Belgium. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop their career at the intersection of Data, Analytics, Cloud and Artificial Intelligence.

You will work closely with clients, business stakeholders, data engineers and technical teams to transform business needs into data-driven and AI-powered solutions.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and translate them into data and AI solutions.
• Support the design and implementation of data pipelines, analytics and AI use cases.
• Work with structured and unstructured data and contribute to data preparation and analysis.
• Develop dashboards, reports and data visualizations.

Technical Requirements

• Minimum 1–4 years of experience in Data, Business Intelligence, Analytics, AI or a related field.
• Good knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Experience with at least one BI / visualization tool, preferably Power BI.
• Basic understanding of Data Engineering, APIs, databases and cloud technologies.
• Exposure to Machine Learning, AI or Generative AI is a strong plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or Azure Data Factory.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, RAG or AI agents.
• Knowledge of data governance or data management concepts.
• Consulting or client-facing experience.

Behavioural and Other Requirements

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work in a consulting environment.
• Fluent in French or Dutch, with good English communication skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics or a related field.
