Antwerp Management School (AMS) is seeking a Junior Accountant to support financial administration with accuracy and reliability. You will handle invoices, bank transactions, and teacher fees, while ensuring BE GAAP compliance in a dynamic, international academic setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accountancy with 1–2 years’ experience, are fluent in Dutch and English, and are skilled with Navision and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy with related experience preferred.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Solid understanding of BE GAAP and accounting processes.
• Experience with Navision; familiarity with Odoo is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and teamwork.

• Process and book purchase invoices with accuracy.
• Book bank transactions and ensure proper recording.
• Register teachers' fees in SD software.
• Prepare and process outgoing invoices.
• Perform general ledger bookings for financial reporting.
• Assist in VAT returns, Intrastat, IC reports, and closings.

As a Junior Accountant at Antwerp Management School (AMS), you play a key role in ensuring smooth and accurate financial administration within one of the world’s leading management schools.

Responsibilities

• Process and book purchase invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Book bank transactions and ensure all financial flows are correctly recorded.
• Register teachers' fees using SD software.
• Prepare and process outgoing invoices.
• Perform various general ledger bookings to support correct financial reporting.
• Assist in preparing and submitting VAT returns, Intrastat declarations, and Intercommunity (IC) reports.
• Support the team during quarterly and year-end closings in accordance with BE GAAP.

Profiel

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, ideally complemented by 1-2 years of experience in an accounting position.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• You have a solid understanding of BE GAAP principles.
• You are familiar with accounting software such as Navision; experience with Odoo is a valuable plus.
• You work confidently with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• You enjoy working collaboratively within a team, but you can also plan your work independently and take initiative when needed.
• You have an affinity with the education sector and feel energized by working in an environment with an international and academic character.
