ScioTeq bv in Kortrijk is seeking an Electronics Engineer to advance defense and security displays, video network encoders/decoders, and full console systems. You will develop mixed analog and digital electronics and embedded systems, drawing schematics, programming FPGA, and validating functionality to meet quality, schedule, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electronics or equivalent by experience.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and/or analog electronics design.
• Interest in Video Processing, networking, FPGA, backlight and LCD components.
• Knowledge of schematic hardware design, VHDL, signal integrity, EMC.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

In the Hardware R&D team Defense & Security you will contribute to the development of defense and air traffic control displays, video network encoder/decoders and full console systems.

You are responsible for the development of mixed analog and digital electronics and also embedded electronics by following selected electronic concepts and components, drawing schematics, programming FPGA and validation of intended functionality. You ensure that our designs meets its quality, schedule and cost objectives.

Your responsibilities:

• You collaborate with a team of skilled engineers to create innovative products or solutions that meet the highest industry standards.
• You are participating in all phases of the development: from requirements definition until series production.
• You select electronics components and design schematics based on requirements.
• You design VHDL modules, FPGA top levels and constraint files based on the requirements.
• You contribute to design, test, industrialization and production reviews.
• You know and apply our development processes and methods.
• You report to R&D manager Hardware Defense & Security.

Requirements:

• You have a Master’s degree in Electronics or equivalent by experience.
• You have knowledge of embedded systems and/or design of analog electronics.
• You are eager working with Video Processing, networking, FPGA, backlight and LCD optical components, …
• You have knowledge e of schematic hardware design, VHDL, signal integrity design, design for EMC.
• You have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• You have excellent communication skills.
• You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and contributing to team success.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.
