Skechers is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager based in Belgium to lead the greenfield build-out of a 200,000 m² European Distribution Center. You will bridge US IT leadership and local stakeholders, coordinating DC operations, IT infrastructure, and third-party vendors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years as an IT PM in DC/logistics, strong WMS/WCS knowledge, and PMP/ITIL certification.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably in a DC/logistics environment.
  • Experience with warehouse technology deployments and systems integration is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record delivering multi-million-dollar technology projects on time and within budget.

Responsabilités

  • Manage all project lifecycle phases: requirements, design, build, test, deployment.
  • Develop and monitor comprehensive project plans with budgets, milestones and risk plans.
  • Coordinate with DC Operations, IT, Engineering and vendors; ensure alignment with Global PMO.
  • Translate distribution requirements into clear objectives for real estate, construction, and IT teams.
  • Track spend and ensure SOX compliance; report risks and progress to stakeholders.

In this context, we are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager based in Belgium to play a central role in the technology deployment of our future European Distribution Center.As the primary local IT Project Manager for Project Uno, you will be at the forefront of an extraordinary undertaking: the greenfield build-out of a 200,000 m² state-of-the-art European Distribution Center (EDC) in Belgium — a flagship investment that will redefine Skechers' logistics capabilities across the continent for years to come.This is a high-visibility, high-impact mission for an experienced project leader who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments and is energized by the challenge of building something from the ground up.Operating within Skechers' Global IT Project Management Office, you will work at the intersection of technology, operations, and business strategy — bridging US-based global IT leadership and local European stakeholders to ensure that all technology initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.You will exercise functional leadership across cross-functional teams spanning DC Operations, IT, Engineering, and third-party vendors.Key Responsibilities:Project Management & DeliveryChampion Skechers IT Project Delivery standards, practices, and toolsManage all phases of the project lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deploymentCreate and manage comprehensive project plans including risk mitigation plans, communication plans, resource requirements, milestones, and project cost tracking — organizing teams, setting objectives, managing operational changes, and transitioning projects to operationsDevelop and/or review estimates and estimating assumptions for project schedules, effort, and cost using established models and past experience; review and manage all changes to requirements through a formally defined scope change processMeasure and monitor progress at clearly defined milestones to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to expected quality standardsTrack and report project spend against defined budget line items; ensure compliance with all SOX requirementsOwn and drive the implementation of Manhattan Associates Active Warehouse Management (AWM) in the greenfield build-out of the Belgium EDCTechnical & Systems IntegrationCollaborate daily with DC Operations, Engineering, IT Infrastructure, network, cloud, and security teams to identify requirements, process flows, and technical dependencies; coordinate all project activities with business owners and support teamsTranslate distribution requirements into clear objectives and timelines for real estate, construction, facilities, security, and IT infrastructure teamsEnsure a solid understanding of Warehouse Automation and API integrations with connected systems including legacy ERP, Customs, and Bonded Warehouse applicationsStakeholder Management & CommunicationFoster transparent and accountable communication across all project workstreams, ensuring permanent alignment between technical and functional teamsCommunicate regularly with Global IT PMO leadership (US) and local Belgium leadership on project risks, status updates, and strategic alignmentGather requirements and drive solutions by closely collaborating with internal and external stakeholders through all roadmap stagesEngage and manage vendor relationships, negotiating changes to commitments, scope, and requirements as neededThe Ideal CandidateEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent work experience accepted Master's Degree preferred8+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, with at least 10 years of overall work experience; experience in a DC/logistics environment strongly preferredIdeal background: WCS/MHE Consultant or similar profile with a holistic, bigpicture view of how DC systems interactPrevious experience in warehousing, 3PL, warehouse automation, or distribution strongly preferredExperience with the infrastructure and operational needs of a large-scale Distribution Center, including DC facility technology deployments and DC operationsExperience coordinating cross-functional teams in a functional (nonhierarchical) leadership capacityPMP, CSM Certifications preferredTechnical SkillsExperience with DC technologies: Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) — ideally Manhattan Associates Active Warehouse Management, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS)Experience implementing Warehouse Management Systems in a large Distribution CenterStrong understanding of Warehouse Automation and API integrations with legacy ERP, Customs, and Bonded Warehouse systemsExperience tracking and reporting project spend against defined budgets;
