EngiFlex BV in Belgium seeks an Installation and Commissioning Engineer to test AGVs, install on-board software, and validate navigation and lifting functions at customer sites. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, preferably in Mechatronics or Industrial Automation.
• Experience in automation solutions such as AGVs, WMS, material handling or warehouse automation.
• Solid knowledge of electronics, wiring diagrams, schematics, controls and hydraulics.
• Basic programming knowledge and experience with Git, Linux, Siemens S7 and Beckhoff IPC.
• Experience interfacing with WMS, WCS or control‑level software.
• Experience with AutoCAD and drafting tools for system layout and design.

As an Installation and Commissioning Engineer, you test automated guided vehicles (AGVs), implement on-board software, and validate navigation, driving and lifting functions at customer sites in Belgium. You support the on-site rollout from installation and configuration through testing, validation, training and documentation, while working closely with colleagues in mechatronics, safety, production, testing and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test and start up automated vehicles within larger logistics automation projects.
• Configure system components and adjust vehicles to project requirements.
• Carry out safety tests and supervise functional, performance, SAT and FAC testing.
• Set up customer‑specific functional requirements.
• Design driving routes, define material flows and parameterize tailored functionalities.
• Provide safety instructions, operator training and support for error recovery to end users.
• Report project status and progress to the project manager.

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience, preferably in Mechatronics or Industrial Automation.
• Relevant professional experience, ideally in automation solutions such as AGVs, WMS systems, material handling or warehouse automation.
• Solid knowledge of electronics, wiring diagrams, schematics, controls and hydraulics.
• Basic programming knowledge and experience with Git, Linux, Siemens S7 and Beckhoff IPC.
• Experience interfacing with WMS, WCS or control‑level software.
• Experience with AutoCAD and custom drafting tools for system layout and design.
• Strong communication skills in English and Dutch.
• Practical knowledge of ERP and issue‑tracking systems (for example SAP and JIR) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel and work on customer sites in Belgium during project execution.
