Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Psychology, Business Administration, or equivalent via experience.
  • At least 5 years in an HR Business Partner or similar role.
  • High-level communication skills in Dutch, French, and English.
  • Knowledge of labour law and HR best practices.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel).
  • Experience with intensive stakeholder interaction is a plus.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors is an asset.

Responsibilities

As an HR Business Partner at Schindler, the purpose is to serve as a true partner for the business. The role focuses on aligning HR strategies with overall business objectives and ensuring that HR decisions reflect best practices. It encompasses the development and execution of HR policies and initiatives, with a strong emphasis on talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement.

Driving strategic business partnership
  • Align HR strategies with business goals
  • Advise and support managers in people management
  • Handle complex HR cases and employee relations matters
  • Ensure correct application of legislation and HR policies
  • Contribute to a healthy and ethical work environment
Develop leadership & organizational development
  • Coach managers in their leadership role
  • Lead change management initiatives and support leaders through organizational transformation
  • Drive organizational performance by supporting workforce planning and organizational effectiveness
Contribute to employee engagement & culture
  • Actively contribute to a positive employee experience
  • Be regularly present in the business to stay connected with what is happening within teams
  • Support initiatives around well‑being and engagement
Play a key role in talent management
  • Support performance management and talent development
  • Facilitate evaluation and talent review processes

Analyze data & insights
  • Analyze HR KPIs (retention, absenteeism, engagement, etc.)
  • Translate data into concrete actions and recommendations
