Ibec, based in Brussels, seeks a Trade Policy Executive to monitor and shape policy across EU and international affairs. You will translate complex trade developments into actionable insights for members and desks, and prepare submissions for government departments and EU institutions.

The role requires collaboration with the Head of EU and International Policy and the Senior Trade Policy Executive, with regular travel within Europe and occasional visits to Dublin, to support Ibec’s policy

Qualifications

• Primary degree in International Trade, Economics, Law, International Relations, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of the trade policy and international affairs environment and government policy processes.
• Experience in policy research, analysis, and delivery within an in-house team, business association, or public affairs environment.

Responsabilités

• Monitor latest developments in trade and international affairs to assess business implications.
• Translate complex global trade developments into actionable insights and briefing documents to support members and desks.
• Prepare Ibec presentations and briefing documents for conferences and meetings on trade policy and supply chains.
• Assist in drafting Ibec submissions on trade and investment issues to Government departments and EU bodies.
• Support engagement with government and international policy fora and stakeholders.
