Etex is seeking a Head of Procurement - Direct Materials to lead and optimize direct material sourcing on a global scale. You will drive category strategies, supplier relations, and cost savings while aligning procurement with cross-functional business goals.

The role requires proven leadership in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and a focus on sustainability. You will report to senior leadership and influence strategies across production, R&D, and finance, with a hybrid working

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership in direct materials procurement in a global manufacturing setting.
• Expert in developing and executing category strategies to optimize cost and ensure supply security.
• Proven track record in supplier management, contract negotiations, and compliance across regions.
• Deep knowledge of end-to-end procurement processes including strategic sourcing and supplier lifecycle management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management enabling cross-functional collaboration and negotiation.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing procurement teams.
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
• Solid understanding of sustainable procurement and ESG integration in decision-making.
• Valid driving license.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement global category strategies for direct materials to optimize cost, quality, supply security, and sustainability.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the direct materials procurement team to achieve strategic and operational objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers while managing strategic supplier relationships and contracts.
• Drive cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvements through market analysis and supplier performance data.
• Establish and execute risk management strategies, including supplier diversification and contingency planning.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, R&D, finance, and supply chain to align procurement with business goals.
• Define and monitor KPIs to measure procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier sustainability outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, industry standards, and company policies across all procurement activities.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and global integration of procurement processes and category management practices.
