Alan is building the backbone of its billing platform. As a Software Engineer on the Billing team, you will design and implement a high-volume, reliable billing engine and integrate with internal and external payment systems.

You'll work with Python/Flask, React, React Native and PostgreSQL to ship scalable systems that support millions of members and thousands of companies. A passion for clean architecture and craftsmanship is valued.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and able to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
• Comfort navigating complex business logic and system dependencies.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient platforms (high-availability, fault-tolerant).
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (Python, Java, C#).

Build the backbone of Alan’s financial systems

Billing is the platform behind every euro that flows through Alan, invoicing 40K+ companies across multiple countries and products with total accuracy. Our mission: turn complex, high-volume financial flows into systems that "just work," so members and companies never have to think about them.

As a Software Engineer on this team, you will:

• Build the core billing engine: process high volumes of transactions daily with precision and reliability.
• Design modular, reusable billing primitives and abstractions that scale across products and regions.
• Integrate seamlessly with internal systems and external payment platforms.
• Automate workflows and billing schedules at scale for companies of all sizes.
• Ensure invoices are accurate, reliable, and easy to manage for internal and external users.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and operations to maintain a unified, high-quality platform experience.

• Fluent in English (French is a plus but not required).
