What You'll Do

• Listen to French audio recordings and compare them against existing transcripts

Who You Are

• Native or near-native French speaker with an excellent ear for spoken French across accents, registers, and speaking speeds - including Belgian French varieties
• Exceptionally detail-oriented - you catch the small errors others miss
• Comfortable working with word-level accuracy and exact timing in transcripts
• Able to follow detailed style guides and formatting rules with precision and consistency
• Strong listening comprehension, even with challenging audio quality or overlapping speakers
• Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently
• No prior AI or tech experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience as a transcriptionist, court reporter, or stenographer
• Background in subtitle editing, closed-captioning, or media localization
• Training or experience in linguistics, phonetics, or language sciences - particularly in a Belgian or European context
• Prior work with annotation platforms, data labeling tools, or transcript editing software
• Familiarity with Belgian French, as well as other French-speaking regional accents and dialects
• Experience in translation, proofreading, or editorial quality assurance
