Colas Belgium is seeking a construction site supervisor to coordinate teams in roads, urban planning and infrastructure projects. You will ensure safety, prepare sites, organize facilities and monitor progress according to construction drawings. The role offers varied projects in Belgium and opportunities for international exposure within Colas.

Qualifications

• Volgt strikt de veiligheidsinstructies op de werf.
• Verzorgt de voorbereiding van de werf en bereidt de benodigde middelen en taken voor.
• Organiseert het werkgebied en de faciliteiten op de werf.
• Coördineert en superviseert het werk van het team en geeft technische bijstand.
• Voert technische verifications uit en bewaakt de voortgang volgens het bouwplan.
• Sluit de werf af en levert administratieve gegevens op voor het project.
• Leidt het team en beoordeelt de prestaties.

Mission

Handles the coordination of all of the team’s tasks in order to build the structure to professional standards in their field of activity (roads, piping, rail, etc.) in observance of the safety guidelines.

Main Responsibilities

• Applies the safety instructions.
• Prepares the construction site : takes part in the evaluation of the means to be implemented, the breakdown of the tasks within the team, the acceptance and verification of the procurements necessary for carrying out the project.
• Organizes the establishment of his /her work perimeter and the installation of the construction site facilities and systems.
• Coordinates and oversees the work of the team : Carries out technical verifications during the work, provides technical assistance to the teams in the carrying out of the work and takes part if necessary, monitors during projects the progress of the work with respect to the construction drawing.
• Supervises their team from a technical and organizational standpoint : assignment of tools…
• Closing of the construction site: removal with the teams of all construction site facilities and systems (vehicles, fuels, material remainders, waste, work site cabins, etc.) , providing of elements for the administrative management of the project…
• Leads their team : monitors the work atmosphere and the transmission of work knowledge.
• Takes part in the evaluation of their team.
