Vector Synergy seeks a security analyst to join the NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) team in Mons, Belgium, focusing on log analysis from diverse security devices and network event investigations.

You will analyze firewall/IDS events, produce actionable findings, and use tools like Wireshark and related suites to strengthen investigations and incident handling. Desirable certifications GCIA/GNFA/GCIH and CIRT/CERT exposure are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing logs from multiple security devices.
• Ability to perform structured investigations on large datasets.
• Familiarity with network security fundamentals.

Responsabilités

• Conduct research and assessments of security events within NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) team.
• Provide analysis of firewall, IDS, anti-virus and other network sensor events and present findings.

Skills, knowledge, experience required

• Log analysis from a variety of sources (e.g. Firewalls, Proxies, Routers, DNS and other security appliances)
• Network traffic capture analysis using Wireshark
• Logical approach to analysis and ability to perform structured security investigations using large, complex data sets.

Desirable

• Holding industry leading certification in the area of cyber security such as GCIA, GNFA, GCIH
• Computer Incident Response Centre (CIRT), Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT)
• Proficiency in Intrusion/Incident Detection and Handling.
