Accenture Belgium is seeking a senior leader to drive complex transformation programs in the financial services regulatory and governance space. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams and engage executives to shape outcomes and sustain high delivery quality.

The role requires deep regulatory knowledge, leadership experience, and a proven track record in large-scale transformations across banking sectors. Fluency in English and Dutch/French is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related discipline as listed.
• 8-15 years in Financial Services, Banking Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Controls, Governance, Regulatory Advisory or Consulting.
• Proven experience leading large transformation programs and managing senior client stakeholders.

What You Will Do

Lead Client Transformation Programs

• Lead complex compliance, regulatory, risk, and governance transformation projects across the banking sector.
• Define project vision, outcomes, delivery approach, governance structure, and success measures.
• Manage multidisciplinary consulting teams and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Identify and proactively mitigate project risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges.
• Drive executive stakeholder engagement and facilitate decision-making at senior management and board levels.
• Support clients in designing sustainable compliance operating models and governance frameworks.

Compliance & Regulatory Advisory

• Advise clients on evolving regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
• Strengthen compliance management systems, governance, and control frameworks.
• Support regulatory remediation programs and supervisory engagements.
• Assist clients in enhancing compliance risk assessments and monitoring capabilities.
• Design solutions related to conduct risk, operational resilience, regulatory change management, third-party risk, compliance controls, and governance.
• Contribute to enterprise-wide transformation initiatives where compliance plays a critical role.

Business Development & Thought Leadership

• Develop trusted advisor relationships with client executives and key stakeholders.
• Lead proposal development, client presentations, and sales pursuits.
• Create thought leadership on emerging compliance and regulatory themes.
• Build Accenture's market position in regulatory, compliance, risk, and governance services.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand existing client relationships.

People Leadership

• Coach, mentor, and develop consultants and managers.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
• Support talent acquisition and capability-building initiatives.
• Drive knowledge sharing and strengthen compliance expertise within the team.

What We're Looking For

Education

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Finance, Business Engineering, Risk Management, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 8-15 years of experience within Financial Services, Banking Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Controls, Governance, Regulatory Advisory, or Consulting.
• Proven experience leading large transformation programs and managing senior client stakeholders.
• Experience within consulting firms, compliance functions, risk functions, internal audit, regulatory affairs, or financial services institutions.
• Successful track record in project and program management.

• Familiarity with AI-enabled compliance solutions is an asset.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS is considered a plus.

Consulting & Leadership Skills

• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.
• Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated business development and sales experience.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and storytelling capabilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and develop growth opportunities.

Languages

• Fluent in English.
• Fluency in Dutch or French, with a good understanding of the other national language is a must

Bonus Points

• Professional certifications such as CAMS, CRCM, ICA, CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, CFA, FRM, PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent.
• Experience interacting with regulators and supervisory authorities.
• Experience in digital compliance transformation or AI-enabled compliance initiatives.
• Experience across multiple European banking markets.
