Buhlmann, based in Zaventem, offers a field-based technical role focusing on maintenance and installations in the rail sector. You will work closely with a colleague to service specialised installations, predominantly in Antwerp, Brussels and Ghent, with additional sites as needed.

You bring several years of hands-on experience in maintenance or industrial installations, strong mechanics/electromechanics with electrical knowledge, and a willingness to travel and lead in the field.

Qualifications

• Several years of relevant practical experience in maintenance, industrial installations, machine building, field service or a comparable technical environment.
• Strong foundation in mechanics and electromechanics, complemented by sufficient electrical knowledge.
• You analyse problems methodically, work independently and consult others when the situation requires it.
• You enjoy field work and are comfortable in a role involving travel to different sites.
• Experience as a lead technician, team leader or site supervisor is an advantage; even in such a role, you still want to remain technically involved.
• You can communicate operationally in Dutch and/or French and have sufficient English for technical communication.

Responsabilités

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on technical installations.
• Analyse and resolve mechanical, electromechanical and electrical faults.
• Assess technical situations independently and help determine the appropriate course of action.
• Carry out measurements, inspections and interventions using professional tools and test equipment.
• Liaise with colleagues, engineers and project managers.
• Depending on your experience, coordinate activities and take a leading role in the field.
