deSter is expanding its extrusion department and seeks a hands-on leader to manage this key production area in our Belgium facility. You will organize, develop skills, and drive KPI-based improvements across output, efficiency and quality, while collaborating with engineering and maintenance to solve day-to-day issues.

With a background in production management and strong English, you will lead cost-reduction projects, ensure food safety standards, and report performance to the management team.

Qualifications

• Technical education (Bachelor's degree or equivalent by experience).
• Management and leadership experience.
• Knowledge of production processes.
• Affinity with technology and production processes.
• Advanced English skills.

Responsabilités

• Leading the workforce of the extrusion department.
• Organize and implement skill improvement of the extrusion operators.
• Motivate, evaluate and empower the workforce using lean techniques.
• In charge of major improvement projects within the extrusion department.
• Efficient utilization of personnel and equipment.
• Managing teams by using KPI’s and report performance to management.
• Close cooperation with production planning and determine optimal workforce.
• Preparation of new samples for customers and testing of raw materials.
• Managing cost saving projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act in a safe and environmentally conscious manner hierarchically with HSE requirements.
