YO IT Consulting is seeking an Excel Quality Assurance Lead for a remote contractor position. You will oversee quality across Excel and spreadsheet AI training projects, evaluating AI-generated formulas, workflows, and explanations, and providing precise feedback to ensure adherence to project rubrics.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of Excel-based analysis experience, strong formula knowledge, and experience coordinating remote teams of trainers or QA specialists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong grasp of English to follow guidelines and provide clear feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience using Excel for analysis and modelling.
• Strong understanding of formulas, references, lookup logic, dynamic arrays, and pivot tables.
• Ability to identify issues such as incorrect formulas, wrong references, circular logic, or missing edge cases.
• Familiarity with advanced Excel features (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, FILTER, etc.).
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, analysts, reviewers, or QA professionals is preferred.
• Comfortable with Discord, Google Sheets, trackers, dashboards, and Excel Online.
• Highly organized, maintaining style guides, trackers, FAQs, and onboarding materials.
• Experience with AI training data, data annotation, or rubric-based review is a strong plus.

Responsabilités

• Run onboarding/training calls for contributors.
• Flag misleading analysis or fragile spreadsheet logic.
• Improve QA processes based on recurring spreadsheet-quality gaps.

About This Role

In this hourly, remote contractor role, you will work as an Excel Quality Assurance Lead to oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across Excel and spreadsheet AI training projects. You will review AI-generated Excel formulas, spreadsheet workflows, analysis explanations, and trainer/QA work; evaluate output quality against project guidelines; provide precise written feedback; and ensure contributors follow expected quality standards. You will assess work for formula correctness, spreadsheet logic, data‑analysis accuracy, model structure, clarity, reproducibility, formatting, instruction‑following, and adherence to project-specific rubrics. You will spot recurring quality issues, communicate updates to trainers and QAs, support onboarding, maintain documentation, and help activate contributors who are not working consistently. This role is a fast‑growing AI Data Services company delivering training data for many of the world’s largest AI companies and foundation‑model labs. Your Excel quality leadership will help ensure spreadsheet training data is accurate, practical, clearly explained, and aligned with client expectations. Selection process involves an AI interview, a domain‑specific task, and an interview with a recruiter. Important: There is no immediate project for this role; however, if qualified, you will be among the first experts we reach out to when relevant opportunities arise. Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Operations, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong grasp of English to follow guidelines and provide clear feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience using Excel for analysis, reporting, financial modelling, operations, BI, accounting, data cleaning, training, or spreadsheet QA.
• Strong understanding of formulas, functions, cell references, lookup logic, dynamic arrays, pivot tables, charts, conditional formatting, data validation, and spreadsheet modelling best practices.
• Ability to identify issues such as incorrect formulas, wrong references, circular logic, poor assumptions, missing edge cases, fragile models, misleading charts, or incomplete explanations.
• Familiarity with advanced Excel features such as XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, FILTER, SORT, UNIQUE, LET, LAMBDA, Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA/macros, Solver, and scenario modelling is preferred.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, analysts, reviewers, finance professionals, educators, or QAs is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, Excel Online, Google Sheets, and PM systems.
• Highly organized and able to maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs, honeypots, calibration tasks, and onboarding materials.
• Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, spreadsheet QA, or rubric‑based review is a strong plus.
