Qover, an insurtech scale-up based in Brussels, seeks an Engineering Lead to guide a core product engineering team, partnering with Product and Design to deliver secure, high-quality software across embedded insurance platforms in 32 European countries.

You will remain hands-on while coaching engineers, championing AI integration with strong guardrails, and driving operational resilience, code quality, and trusted delivery across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional engineering leadership in production systems.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams with Product and Design.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, API design and cloud operations.

Responsabilités

• Lead one core product engineering team, acting as people leader and hands-on contributor.
• Partner with Product Manager to translate priorities into delivery plans and ensure transparency on capacity and risks.
• Champion AI-native engineering with guardrails and human review to ensure security and quality.
• Provide technical guidance through design reviews, incident response, and release readiness.
