Boels Rental Ghent Wondelgem is seeking an Electrical Technician to maintain, repair and troubleshoot equipment across three branches. You will inspect machines, fix faults, test operation, label OK, and return items to stock for hire.

You will order parts, track stock, and assist drivers with loading, unloading and minor vehicle/building repairs. A valid Belgian work permit is required, with a focus on a hands-on, customer-ready attitude.

Qualifications

• BSO qualification in a technical field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Category B driving licence required.
• Hands-on attitude and willingness to travel within the region.

Responsabilités

• Inspect and test returned machines, perform repairs and maintenance.
• Identify faults and restore equipment to working condition.
• Clean, label OK, and return machines to stock for hire.
• Place orders for spare parts and keep stock records.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading and minor repairs to site/building and company vehicles.

At our branch in Ghent Wondelgem, no two days are the same.

As an Electrical Technician at this branch, you’ll be responsible for our equipment in terms of maintenance, repairs and breakdowns.

What does that involve?

• Machines returned by customers are first given a quick check by your colleagues. Then the real work begins for you.
• You check the machines from top to bottom, look for any faults and ensure everything is working 100% again.
• You’ll clean the machine, test its operation, apply an ‘OK’ label and return it to the stock for hire.
• You’ll carry out repairs and maintenance yourself to ensure everything is in tip-top condition.
• You’ll place orders and keep track of the spare parts stock.
• You’ll also help the drivers with loading and unloading and carry out minor repairs to the building and company vehicles.

What makes this role unique is that you’ll be working across three different branches, allowing you to work on all sorts of different machines.
