Description du poste

At DEME, reliable maintenance starts with reliable data. We are looking for a Digital Data Engineer to strengthen our CMMS team and take ownership of the next phase of our maintenance data digitalization journey.

In this role, you will act as the driving force behind maintenance data initiatives, ensuring that critical information from our vessels and newbuild projects is collected, validated, structured, and transformed into high-quality digital assets. You will work closely with maintenance, reliability, fleet engineering, and IT stakeholders to ensure our maintenance management systems contain the right data to support efficient and reliable vessel operations.

The role combines project leadership, data governance, stakeholder management, and a strong affinity for maintenance processes and asset management.

Your responsibilities
  • Act as a project lead for data-related initiatives, defining scope, planning activities, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Drive the implementation and enforcement of Data Quality Standards (DQS) for assets, items, and maintenance data.
  • Lead and coordinate data creation and data quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collect, validate, and structure maintenance data generated during vessel newbuild and fleet operations.
  • Ensure maintenance data is accurately transferred from various sources into our maintenance management systems.
  • Collaborate closely with reliability and maintenance experts to translate maintenance requirements into system solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage digital technologies and AI-driven solutions to improve maintenance data management and decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development of procedures that improve data accuracy, consistency, and long-term sustainability.
  • Translate business needs into clear data requirements through stakeholder engagements to data structures.
Your profile
  • You hold a Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or a related field.
  • You have at least 3 years of professional experience in a data, engineering, maintenance, or asset management environment.
  • You have a strong interest in maintenance, asset reliability, and technical operations.
  • You have experience working with large datasets and are comfortable querying and analyzing data using tools such as SQL, Power BI, etc.
  • You have solid understanding of the principles of data governance, data stewardship, data quality, and structured data management.
  • You are analytical, curious, and enjoy investigating how data supports operational decision‑making.
  • You possess strong project coordination skills and can engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with maintenance management or asset management systems such as MAS9, Maximo, AMOS, TM Master, SAP, or similar solutions is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of AI, digitalization initiatives, or data‑driven asset management is considered an asset.
  • You are not expected to be a software developer or programmer; the focus is on data management, quality, governance, and implementation within a maintenance environment.
Our offer
  • A challenging role with significant impact on DEME’s fleet maintenance strategy.
  • The opportunity to lead high‑visibility digitalization initiatives within a global maritime environment.
  • Collaboration with experienced maintenance, reliability, engineering, and IT professionals.
  • Extensive opportunities for personal and professional growth.
  • A competitive salary package with attractive benefits.
  • A dynamic and international work environment where innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement are encouraged.
