Jobat in Belgium is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for industrial projects in Zwevegem. You will transform technical ideas into practical, detailed designs for machines and production lines, collaborating with engineers, maintenance teams and suppliers.

Responsabilités

• Design mechanical parts, assemblies and installations for new machines and expansions of existing lines.
• Create clear 3D models, detail drawings and production drawings from technical concepts.
• Support investment projects with technically feasible solutions aligned to the production environment.
• Carry out precise on-site measurements and incorporate findings into designs and plans.
• Inspect existing machines to identify deviations between drawings and the actual state.
• Update designs to ensure documentation is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
• Coordinate designs with Project Engineers, maintenance techs, production colleagues and external suppliers.
• Discuss manufacturability, material choices, assembly and execution with internal and external stakeholders.
• Propose changes to improve safety, reliability, maintainability and efficiency of machines.
• Assist in further standardisation of drawing standards, technical libraries and internal workflows.
• Track designs during production, assembly or installation and adjust as required.
