Parallel Consulting is seeking a senior data architect to design and govern scalable data platforms across the organization. You will shape enterprise data models, drive data integration, and lead streaming and batch processing initiatives.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, ensure data quality and security, and guide migration from legacy systems to modern architectures. Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL, ETL tools, Python/Java, and cloud data platforms is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise data architecture, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions.
• Develop and oversee data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipelines across multiple data sources and platforms.
• Act as the subject matter expert for data architecture, providing guidance on data-related initiatives and projects.
• Design and maintain data models, database structures, and data management frameworks to support business and analytics requirements.
• Lead the development of real-time and batch data processing capabilities, including data streaming solutions.
• Ensure data quality, security, governance, and compliance standards are embedded across all data platforms.
• Develop technology roadmaps for data architecture, aligning future capabilities with organisational objectives.
• Support data migration activities from legacy systems to modern platforms while minimising business disruption.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote data-driven decision-making and maximise the value of organisational data assets.

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Data Architecture, Data Modelling, and Enterprise Data Management.
• Expertise with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and other modern data platforms.
• Experience with data integration and ETL tools such as SSIS, Talend, Pentaho, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of big data and streaming technologies including Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or C++.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, metadata management, lineage tools, and cloud architecture frameworks.
• Familiarity with visual analytics and reporting tools such as Tableau and SSRS.
