Leonardo Belgium is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen controls across a large enterprise, enhancing vulnerability management, IAM, MFA, and privileged access. You will deploy endpoint security, system hardening, and security solutions while integrating security into CI/CD environments.
Senior profiles may own technical workstreams, guide peers, and coordinate remediation efforts, with opportunities to work autonomously in a fast-paced, international setting.
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will contribute to the implementation, remediation, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity controls within a large and complex enterprise environment. Depending on your expertise, you may:
Identify security weaknesses and translate them into concrete remediation actions
Support or lead vulnerability remediation and patching activities
Implement or strengthen IAM, MFA, privileged-access, and least-privilege controls
Deploy application-control, endpoint-security, and system-hardening measures
Design, integrate, configure, and improve cybersecurity solutions
Integrate security into development and CI/CD environments
Contribute to application security, vulnerability assessment, or penetration testing activities
Strengthen network, infrastructure, cloud, and endpoint security where relevant to your area of expertise
Troubleshoot complex security and integration issues
Maintain technical documentation and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders
For Senior profiles, responsibilities may additionally include ownership of technical workstreams, solution design, coordination of remediation activities, and technical guidance to other engineers.
Experience / Education / Certifications
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is appreciated, although alternative educational paths combined with relevant experience will also be considered
Several years of professional experience in hands-on technical cybersecurity, with demonstrated experience implementing, operating, integrating, or improving cybersecurity solutions and controls
For Senior profiles, demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take ownership of complex technical activities, and provide technical guidance when required

Vulnerability Management, patching, and technical remediation
Identity & Access Management, Multi-Factor Authentication, and Privileged Access Management
Application control, endpoint security, and system hardening
Security system engineering and implementation of cybersecurity solutions
DevSecOps, Application Security, or secure development environments
Network, infrastructure, and operating system security
Candidates are not expected to cover all of these areas; strong expertise in one or several relevant technical cybersecurity domains is what matters most.
Nice to have
Experience with enterprise security technologies such as vulnerability scanners, IAM/PAM solutions, endpoint management, EDR/XDR, or application-control technologies
Experience with Microsoft enterprise security environments (Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Group Policy, or similar)
Experience with cloud technologies and cloud security
Scripting or automation skills such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, or similar
Experience with large-scale cybersecurity remediation or transformation programmes
Cybersecurity certifications
Previous experience with EU Institutions, NATO, governmental organisations, defence, or other regulated environments
Exposure to penetration testing, security assessment, or offensive security activities
French and/or Italian language skills
