GET.invest seeks an experienced Communications Advisor (m/f/d) for its Brussels office. The role leads editorial planning, drafts materials in English and German, and coordinates across partners and donors to ensure consistent branding and donor visibility.
You will oversee external providers and manage content for multiple channels. The ideal candidate has a Master’s in communications and 5–7 years of experience in institutional contexts, with strong editing and project coordination skills.
GET.invest (https://www.get-invest.eu/) is a leading European programme mobilising investment in clean energy projects in partner countries. It is implemented by GIZ on behalf of the European Union, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden and Austria, and is part of the GET.pro platform (https://www.global-energy-transformation.eu/). The programme contributes to the European Union’s Global Gateway and focuses on sub-Saharan Africa, as well as selected activities in the Caribbean and Pacific.
GET.invest combines advisory services, market intelligence, stakeholder engagement and targeted mobilisation to help clean energy projects and companies access financing. In this context, communication plays an important role in positioning the programme, supporting donor visibility, promoting services and results, and ensuring consistent, professional communication across a wide range of stakeholders and channels.
The Communications Advisor will play a central role in shaping and delivering the programme’s communications across editorial and operational dimensions, working closely with the Head of Communications on high-visibility communication at the interface of clean energy, investment and international cooperation. The role combines substantial ownership of core communication products and channels with close interaction across technical teams, country windows, donors, partners and external service providers.
We are looking for an experienced communications professional with strong editorial judgement, a high level of precision, and the ability to translate complex topics into clear and effective communication in an international context. The role requires someone who works well in a dynamic and multicultural environment and who combines strategic awareness with close attention to detail.
We offer a limited contract with GIZ in Brussels under Belgian law (PC200), ideally starting in November 2026.
As the working place is Brussels, only applications for candidates eligible to work in Belgium will be accepted. We will contact selected candidates directly to arrange for an interview within the next few weeks. We won’t send acknowledgements of receipt or rejection letters to applicants that are not shortlisted. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to hearing from you!
