Daikin Europe is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to design and implement the roadmap for our cloud and app solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency across the product range.

You will collaborate with product teams and external partners to shape lean architectures, coordinate with suppliers, and evaluate impact of architectural changes.

Location: Tech Lane Ghent Science Park, Gent, Belgium. A hybrid work model with potential remote days is offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and strong interest in computer science.
• Expert knowledge of at least one cloud platform, preferably AWS.
• Solid understanding of IoT concepts, ideally including communication with low-resource embedded devices.
• Familiar with microservice-based architectures using containerization and/or serverless (Lambda).
• Proven experience in API design and data model creation.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and innovate through research, proofs of concept, and demos.
• Cloud security is critical — expert-level understanding of key security principles.
• Several years of professional experience, able to work independently and bring structure to a growing organization.
• Think conceptually and present insights clearly to team and management.
• Experience in project management or coordinating multiple stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Design, document, and visualize the architecture of our cloud services and supporting tools.
• Work closely with the product development team to ensure the design is supported and implemented.
• Act as an expert and coordinate with our dedicated technology suppliers and implementation partners.
• Analyze risks and assess the potential impact of architectural changes.
