afarax seeks a freelance Cloud Engineer (SRE) with Dynatrace expertise to enhance the client’s cloud observability and security posture. You will design RVA implementations, deploy OneAgent/ActiveGate, and integrate security analytics across AWS and Azure environments.

The role emphasizes automation, IaC, and CI/CD integration, with a focus on scalable monitoring, governance models, and robust security tooling within regulated financial services settings.

Qualifications

• Proven enterprise experience with Dynatrace administration and deployment.
• Experience with OneAgent and ActiveGate deployments across cloud environments.
• Strong skills in automation and infrastructure as code.
• Hands-on scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with security monitoring and vulnerability management.

Responsabilités

The project:

Our client in the Insurance sector, is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer (SRE - Dynatrace, Cloud Observability & Security) to strengthen their team.

Your Responsibilities:

As part of the Cloud Platform & SRE team, you will:

Cloud Observability & Security

• Design and implement Dynatrace Runtime Vulnerability Analytics (RVA) across containerized and traditional workloads.
• Deploy and operationalize Dynatrace security capabilities, including:
• Runtime Vulnerability Analytics (RVA)
• Application Security
• Runtime Application Protection (RAP)
• Security Analytics
• Ensure end-to-end observability across cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
• Deploy, configure and maintain Dynatrace OneAgent and ActiveGate across AWS and Azure environments.
• Design scalable tagging strategies, Management Zones, RBAC and governance models.
• Develop reusable deployment patterns and automate the complete Dynatrace lifecycle.

Integrate Dynatrace with cloud services including:

AWS

• EC2
• Elastic Beanstalk
• Function Apps
• Logic Apps

Ensure monitoring, security and performance insights are fully integrated into cloud operations.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code

• Automate Dynatrace deployments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep or CloudFormation).
• Integrate Dynatrace into CI/CD pipelines and cloud provisioning processes.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash or PowerShell.

Reliability Engineering

• Define and improve observability standards supporting SRE practices.
• Contribute to:
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Configure dashboards, alerting and intelligent problem detection supporting operational excellence.

Security & Vulnerability Management

• Collaborate with Security, Platform and Development teams to investigate runtime vulnerabilities.
• Coordinate remediation activities until resolution.
• Integrate Dynatrace security events with SIEM/SOAR platforms where applicable.
• Contribute to improving the clients' cloud security posture and compliance.
• Produce technical documentation, operational runbooks and knowledge-sharing material.
• Evaluate new Dynatrace capabilities and recommend improvements aligned with the clients' cloud strategy.

Required Skills & Experience:

Dynatrace

• Proven enterprise experience with Dynatrace administration and deployment
• OneAgent & ActiveGate
• Alerting
• Runtime Vulnerability Analytics (RVA)
• Application Security (or equivalent Dynatrace security modules)

Strong experience with:

AWS

• EC2
• Elastic Beanstalk
• Function Apps

Infrastructure & Automation

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep or CloudFormation)
• Python, Bash or PowerShell scripting
• CI/CD integration
• Git-based deployment workflows

Site Reliability Engineering

Good understanding of:

• SLI / SLO
• Error Budgets
• Reliability Engineering
• Operational Excellence

Security

Experience with:

• Runtime vulnerability management
• Application Security
• Security monitoring
• Vulnerability remediation
• SIEM / SOAR integrations (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Dynatrace Associate Certification
• Dynatrace Professional Certification
• Experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift
• Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD platforms
• Experience within highly regulated environments (Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare)
