Sphere Defense is seeking a Drone Lab Technician in Brussels to assemble prototypes of ground, UAS and counter-UAS systems. You will handle electronics assembly, test fixtures, and repair tasks in a hands-on lab setting.

Ideal candidates have technical education and hands-on experience with PCBAs, soldering, and 3D printers; English/French/Dutch skills are a plus. Onsite in Brussels with possible travel to nearby sites.

Qualifications

• Technical high-school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrable experience in a comparable technical role.
• Excellent hands-on abilities in electronics, cabling, mechanical assembly.
• Experience with soldering, assembling and repairing PCBAs, including fine pitch components (QFNs, BGAs, QFPs).
• Knowledge of ESD issues and familiarity with common lab tools (DMM, etc.).
• Familiarity with crimping and cabling.
• Ability to operate and maintain FDM and resin 3D printers.
• Experience organizing and maintaining an R&D laboratory.
• Self-starter, capable in ambiguity and eager to take on new challenges.
• Good written and spoken English, French or Dutch is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assemble small series and prototypes of ground, UAS and C-UAS systems.
• Ensure assembly and repair activities are completed timely with high quality.
• Handle 3D printers and maintain them in working order.
• Support test campaigns in Belgium and abroad.
• Perform incoming inspection for raw materials and sub-assemblies.
• Advise engineering teams on assembly and repairability processes.
• Keep labs and machines clean and organized.
