SWIFT is seeking an innovative Blockchain Developer to design, develop, and implement secure blockchain solutions that enhance our global financial messaging network. You will work on DLT applications, smart contracts, and blockchain infrastructure across diverse platforms.

The role requires 2+ years in blockchain development, strong cryptography knowledge, and experience with Ethereum, Hyperledger Besu, Corda or similar, plus cloud and container tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of blockchain development experience.
• Experience with Solidity, Go, or Kotlin/Java for Corda/Besu.
• Solid understanding of cryptographic principles, consensus mechanisms, and distributed systems.
• Experience with front-end and back-end languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, C++).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• REST APIs, gRPC, and microservices experience.
• Excellent problem-solving and strong attention to detail; able to work independently and with teams.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and contribute to architectural direction.
• Collaborate with product, DevOps, and security teams.
• Document technical designs, development processes, and procedures.

Job Summary

We are seeking an innovative and skilled Blockchain Developer to join our team at SWIFT. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing secure and scalable blockchain solutions to enhance our global financial messaging network.

Job Responsibilities

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (2+ years) as a Blockchain Developer or in a similar role focusing on DLT.
• Experience in at least one blockchain development platform (e.g., Solidity for Ethereum, Go for Hyperledger Fabric, Kotlin/Java for Corda/Besu).
• Solid understanding of cryptographic principles, consensus mechanisms (PoW, PoS, BFT), and distributed systems.
• Experience with front-end and back-end development languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, C++).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with REST APIs, gRPC, and microservices.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipeline deployments.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position in Manassas is $66,960.00 to $124,354.00 Annual USD. Salary may vary depending on job‑related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Compensation packages include a competitive base salary, bonus opportunities contingent on performance, and a generous benefits program that covers medical, dental, vision, and life insurance with no premium costs for employees and their families, as well as a retirement plan with matching 401(k).
