Visser & Van Baars in Brussels is looking for a Data Engineer with a few years’ experience to join a long-term consultancy project with a leading client. You will build and improve data pipelines in a Microsoft-oriented environment.

Expect to work with Azure data technologies (Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks, Fabric), develop transformations, and monitor quality and performance. A hybrid Brussels setup and collaboration with cross-functional teams are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong SQL and data engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with data pipelines / ETL / ELT.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of the broader Microsoft stack is a plus.
• Python or another programming language is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent English + Dutch or French is required.
• Able to work in a hybrid setup in Brussels.

Responsabilités

• Build, maintain and optimise data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Work with Azure data technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks and Fabric.
• Develop data transformations and integration solutions.
• Monitor data quality, performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, Architects and business stakeholders.
• You'll have the opportunity to deepen your Azure expertise and take increasing ownership within a long-term project.
