Sopra Steria in Brussels is seeking an Automation Designer / Automation Developer to help clients transform their operations through intelligent automation. You bridge business needs and technology by designing, building, and scaling robust automation solutions across enterprise environments.

Embedded in client teams, you will analyze processes, identify automation opportunities, implement workflows, and collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to deliver measurable business

Qualifications

• Automation and platform experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, UiPath.
• Understanding of IDP/DPA and automation concepts.
• Experience across low-code and RPA platforms in enterprise settings.
• Proficiency with API integrations and data flows.
• Development experience in PowerShell, C#.NET, Python or equivalent.

Job Description

As an Automation Designer / Automation Developer, you help organizations transform the way they work through intelligent automation. You bridge business needs and technology by designing, building, and scaling automation solutions that are robust, user-friendly, and future-proof.

Depending on your strengths and interests, you will contribute across the design and delivery lifecycle—from analyzing business processes and identifying automation opportunities, to implementing complex workflows and integrations across enterprise environments.

You collaborate closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to translate challenges into scalable automation solutions using low-code, RPA, and AI-driven technologies. Because this is a consultancy-driven role, you will work embedded within client teams, supporting adoption, governance, and continuous improvement of automation solutions.

You play a key role in shaping end-to-end automation journeys, combining process design, document automation, system integrations, and intelligent services to deliver measurable business impact.

Required skills

Automation & Platforms

• Strong experience with automation platforms such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, UiPath
• Solid understanding of Intelligent Document Processing (IDP/DPA) and automation concepts
• Experience working across low-code and RPA platforms in enterprise environments

Technical & Integration Skills

• Experience with API integrations and data flows between systems
• Comfortable with scripting and expressions (PowerShell, JSON, formulas)
• Development experience in PowerShell, C#.NET, Python, or similar (for developer-focused profiles)
• Familiarity with CI/CD, governance, and automation lifecycle management (nice to have)

Process & Design

• Ability to analyze business processes and identify automation potential
• Experience modeling process flows, user journeys, and automation scenarios
• Strong documentation skills and structured handover to delivery teams

Education & Languages

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business IT, or equivalent experience
• Languages: Dutch and English
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Consultancy mindset with the ability to embed within client teams
• Structured, quality-driven, and solution-oriented
• Comfortable working in multidisciplinary and fast-changing environments
