Abakus IT-Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Cyber Security Specialist to join a team focused on operational security, infrastructure protection and incident response. The role operates in a complex hybrid multi-site environment, emphasizing network security, SecOps and incident response.

You will work in Namur region with a hybrid model and ~60% on-site presence, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation to handle critical security incidents.

Qualifications

• Must have confirmed IT security expertise with operational cybersecurity focus.
• Hands-on incident response and incident management experience.
• Strong knowledge of IDS/IPS or NDR and firewall technologies.
• Familiarity with DNS security, proxy, SOC/SIEM/XDR and WAF.
• Experience in large, complex IT environments.
• French language proficiency at professional level (C2).

Responsabilités

• Analyze, handle and document cybersecurity incidents.
• Investigate alerts from the SOC, SIEM, WAF and other security tools.
• Analyze network traffic and help secure network architectures.
• Manage and optimize Firewalls, IDS/IPS, NDR, WAF and Proxy solutions.
• Participate in tuning detection and protection rules.
• Coordinate technical teams during security incidents.
• Perform post-incident analysis and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Monitor CVEs, IOCs and MITRE ATT&CK developments.
• Contribute to SecOps projects and continuous improvement of processes.
• Produce security documentation, reports, and KPIs.

We are looking for an experienced IT Cyber Security Specialist to join a team dedicated to operational security, infrastructure protection, and cyber incident response.

You will work in a complex, hybrid and multi-site environment, with a strong focus on Network Security, SecOps and Incident Response.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, handle and document cybersecurity incidents;
• Investigate alerts from the SOC, SIEM, WAF and other security tools;
• Analyze network traffic and contribute to securing network architectures;
• Manage and optimize Firewalls, IDS/IPS, NDR, WAF and Proxy solutions;
• Participate in tuning detection and protection rules;
• Coordinate technical teams during security incidents;
• Perform post-incident analysis and follow up on corrective actions;
• Monitor CVEs, IOCs and MITRE ATT&CK developments;
• Contribute to security projects and continuous improvement of SecOps processes;
• Produce security documentation, reports, KPIs and recommendations.

Profile

• Confirmed IT Security Expert (T2);
• Solid experience in operational cybersecurity and network security;
• Hands-on experience in Incident Response / Incident Management;
• Strong knowledge of IDS/IPS or NDR and Firewalls;
• Knowledge of DNS Security, Proxy, SOC/SIEM/XDR and WAF;
• Experience working in large-scale and complex IT environments;
• French: C2 / full professional proficiency;
• Relevant Cyber Security certifications are a plus.

Working Model

Position based in Namur, with a hybrid working model and approximately 60% on-site presence.
