Koda Tech is seeking a Freelance Frontier AI Technical Expert to guide the evaluation, governance and deployment of frontier AI technologies for a European financial institution. This hybrid role requires 50% on-site in Frankfurt, Germany, with the remainder remote, and involves collaboration across architecture, cyber security, procurement, legal and business teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with frontier AI, LLMs and enterprise AI architecture.
• Strong knowledge of model training, fine-tuning, RAG, AI agents and model evaluation.
• Hands-on experience with AI infrastructure, data pipelines, observability, security and deployment.
• Experience evaluating AI vendors, cloud platforms or enterprise AI platforms.
• Strong understanding of Responsible AI, governance, privacy and operational resilience.
• Experience working within large enterprise, public sector or highly regulated environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Freelance Frontier AI Technical Expert

Location: Frankfurt, Germany / Remote (2 weeks onsite, 2 weeks remote - Flexible Arrangement)

Contract: Freelance – Initial 5-month contract with confirmed extensions

Context

A leading European financial institution is looking for a Freelance Frontier AI Technical Expert to provide deep technical expertise on the evaluation, governance and deployment of frontier AI technologies. You'll work alongside architecture, cyber security, procurement, legal and business teams to assess leading AI models, challenge vendor solutions and help define secure, scalable and responsible AI capabilities for enterprise-wide adoption.
