Itineris in Belgium is seeking an AI Product Delivery & Project Coordinator to establish and mature an agile delivery model for an AI-first engineering team. The role includes coordinating with distributed teams, driving backlog readiness, and ensuring alignment with customer PoCs and roadmaps.

As the role matures, it expands to practice operations and project coordination, supporting engagement with customers and internal planning in an innovative, startup-like environment.

Qualifications

Role Overview

This role is responsible for establishing and continuously improving the way our team operates. In the first phase, the primary focus is on introducing an agile delivery model that fits an AI-first engineering team, supports distributed collaboration, and scales with future growth, including the integration of the India-based engineering team.

As the way of working matures and becomes self-sustaining, the role gradually expands into practice operations and project coordination, supporting our customer engagement with operational aspects of customer PoCs, roadmap execution, and internal planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Sprint & flow management: Run end-to-end agile cadence, owning committed sprint goals and burn-down health. Maintain backlog readiness in partnership with the Customer Engagement & Roadmap Lead. You will manage the impediment log and drive escalation when needed.
• Team-level outcome ownership: Accountable that sprint goals are met, not just that tasks are worked on. Track and improve team-level metrics including velocity, predictability, cycle time, and retro action closure rate.
• Way of working for AI-accelerated delivery: Design and maintain a way of working that matches the velocity of AI-first development with the discipline to step back. This means building in structured moments for architectural reflection, code and design review depth, adversarial testing, and "are we building the right thing?" checkpoints. You help the team resist shipping fast-and-shallow.
• Scaling the way of working: Introduce and evolve a pragmatic way of working that scales as the team expands, including our India-based individual contributors. Adapt ceremonies, tooling, and rituals for distributed and multi-timezone delivery.
• Agile coaching & team health: Coach individual contributors on agile practices, collaboration patterns and Azure DevOps hygiene. Contribute to a way of working that is pragmatic, not ceremonial. Run operational 1:1s focused on blockers, capacity and day-to-day engagement.
• AI Initiative Delivery: Coordinate and actively contribute to planning AI feasibility studies, proof-of-concept initiatives and other strategic AI projects. Make sure these activities are in line with our internal operational cadence and can be supported.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Agile Delivery
  • Strong working knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and scaled delivery patterns
  • Hands-on experience facilitating sprint ceremonies and driving backlog readiness
  • Comfortable owning sprint goal commitment and managing scope trade-offs within a sprint
  • Track record of improving team predictability and cycle time through process change
• Tooling & Reporting
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Features, User Stories, sprint mechanics, queries, dashboards)
  • Comfortable building Gantt-style delivery-plan visualizations on ADO Features with start and end dates and dependencies
  • Strong written communication for leadership-facing status reports
  • Comfortable working with Confluence and SharePoint for team documentation
• Team & Stakeholder Management
  • Experience coordinating across a 5-10-person multidisciplinary team
  • Comfortable partnering with a roadmap or product lead on backlog refinement
  • Able to navigate escalations calmly and drive impediments to resolution within days, not weeks
• AI / Tech Context Awareness
  • Working understanding of AI and ML delivery patterns, PoC lifecycles, and the difference between exploration and productization
  • Familiarity with operational concerns around AI workloads is a plus
  • Familiarity with supporting and organizing a team using agentic software development through GitHub Copilot/Claude Code
• Education & Experience
  • 2-5 years of demonstrable experience in an agile delivery role.
