EY Belgium is seeking a collaborative Accounting Administration collaborator for the central team in Diegem. You will assist in booking invoices, VAT returns, and centralized processes while supporting coordination activities.

Ideal candidates hold an accounting-related degree with at least two years of relevant experience and are proficient in Dutch or French and English, with strong MS Office skills. Flexible working arrangements are available.

The EY Accounting, Compliance and Reporting (ACR) department is specialized in helping family-owned businesses and startups as well as large multinational companies to meet their financial reporting requirements in the many countries where they do business. The EY ACR department in Diegem is looking for a new collaborator within his Central Team to start immediately. The ACR Central Team is dedicated to provide support to the ACR professionals in several standardized and automated processes. This team is expected to continue growing in the future.

Our client facing teams are supported by a central team - As a member of the Central Team you will be dedicated to give support on national administrative and accounting processes performed within ACR service line to reduce the local offices workload.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the booking of purchase and sales invoices, bank statements, miscellaneous postings, …;
• Assist in the preparation of the VAT return and year-end-closing activities;
• Assist in the filing of several administrative and accounting processes (i.e. VAT returns, Biztax, fiches,….);
• Assist in the development of new administrative and accounting processes to be centralized;
• Supervise some processes within the Central Team;
• Assist in the coordination of some learning and communication activities.

Your profile

• You hold a degree in Accounting Administration (Graduate or Bachelor) or a Diploma in Technical (TSO/TTr/TQ) or Professional (BSO) education in accounting or you have the equivalent experience;
• You have ideally at least 2 years of experience in an accounting administration function;
• You have a good knowledge of Dutch or French and English;
• You are skilled in working with MS offices software (mainly Word and Excel)
• You have good communication skills and you are a team player;
• You have a positive mindset;
• You are assertive and hands-on;
• You demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and proactively take initiative;
• You bring together sharp analytical skills with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
