Job summary

St John of God Health Care in Geelong is seeking a compassionate Youth Worker for a sleepover, casual daytime and night shifts. The role focuses on supporting young people to build independence, resilience and brighter futures in a residential setting.

You will build trust, provide safe accommodation and practical support, work with a dedicated team, and assist in education, training and employment pathways while upholding privacy, safety and OH&S standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Youth Work or equivalent required.
• State driver's license and Working with Children Card essential.
• Valid First Aid & CPR certification is mandatory.
• Familiarity withPrivacy legislation and OH&S requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with young people and provide safe, supportive accommodation.
• Offer outreach and practical support to meet care continuum needs.
• Assist in case planning and support education, training and employment goals.
• Deliver trauma-informed care in a residential setting.
