Job summary

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District at headspace Bondi Junction is seeking a Youth Peer Manager to lead a small team of peer workers and provide youth-focused mental health support. The role draws on the successful lived experience of mental health recovery to foster recovery-oriented care for young people and their families.

The position is temporary part-time (32 hours per week) with the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic clinical service in a metropolitan setting.

Qualifications

• The Youth Peer Manager role requires leadership for a small team of peer workers and the ability to work with young people and families.
• The role draws on lived experience of mental health challenges and personal recovery to support youth consumers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support for the headspace youth group program.
• Develop empathic relationships with young people to support personal recovery.
• Coordinate and supervise a team of peer workers within headspace Bondi Junction.
