Job summary

A well-established community service organization in New South Wales is seeking an Outreach Case Worker to assist young people (12-24) in securing stable housing. This full-time, leave cover role requires experience in case management and a commitment to supporting vulnerable populations. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team and will have a strong understanding of the complex needs of youth experiencing homelessness.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• NSW driver's Licence.
• National Criminal History Check.
• Working with Children Check.
• Demonstrated understanding of complex needs of families facing homelessness.

Responsibilities

• Support Specialist Homelessness Service across Lower Hunter & Newcastle.
• Conduct intake and needs assessments.
• Provide outreach casework and crisis accommodation support.

Skills

Strong conflict resolution skills

Excellent communication skills

Ability to develop rapport

Experience in Case Management practice

Understanding of Child Protection principles

Education

Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services/Welfare, or Youth Work
