Job summary

Youth Justice and Victim Support in Deception Bay, QLD, is seeking a Caseworker (Domestic and Family Violence) to support and case-manage young people involved in youth justice interventions who are affected by domestic and family violence as victims, perpetrators, or exposures.

The role focuses on establishing integrated responses with the High-Risk Team, developing processes, tools, and reporting protocols across Brisbane and Moreton Bay regions to ensure timely actions and referrals.

Qualifications

• Deliver best practice statutory casework to young people affected by domestic and family violence.
• Develop safety plans using assessment and intervention skills.
• Coordinate referrals and information sharing between agencies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate cultural capability and commitment to inclusion.
• Engage with families, communities and stakeholders for coordinated support.
• Prepare and present information to Children's Court and liaise with court stakeholders.
• Maintain confidential case records and generate performance/trend reports.
• Participate in training to stay up-to-date with best practice in youth justice.
